Got Movies?

Currently, we can only support movies using the following formats: AVI, MPEG-4(Divx, Xvid, WMVs), Indeo, Cinepack, Techsmith, Animated Gif and Flash.
Please remember to compress your videos no matter what format you prefer. The compression will allow your video to upload faster and also load faster during your presentation on site, with no real loss in video quality.

If you plan to play a DVD as part of your presentation, please notify a technician in the Speaker Ready Room so arrangements can be made for assistance in your meeting room.

Special Fonts?

We only supply fonts that are included with Office 2007. If you need a specialized font, it should be embedded into your PowerPoint presentation. Click here for an explanation of this process.

What Files Types Can I Upload?

We currently support uploads of all file formats.
If you are a Mac user please click here.

Backup

Please bring a copy of your presentation with you to the meeting. Copy your PowerPoint and all movies into a folder on a USB stick or CD-ROM. PowerPoint does not embed movies; please place them in the same folder as your PowerPoint file. Ideally, you will keep a second copy in your luggage.

Arriving at Show Site

Speaker Ready Room

Speakers must check-in at the Speaker Ready Room at least four (4) hours before their scheduled presentation. The computers in the Speaker Ready Room will be configured with hardware and software exactly like the computer in the meeting rooms. It is imperative that you review your presentation in the Speaker Ready Room. This is where our technicians will be available to help resolve any compatibility or formatting issues.

Be sure to use the mouse to advance your slides and not the keyboard, as you will only have a mouse at the podium to advance your presentation; Left click advances to the next slide, right click returns to the previous slide.

Once you are comfortable that your presentation is complete, confirm the date, time, and room for your session. Be sure to click the "Upload Files" and "Logout" buttons on the bottom of the screen.

Giving Your Presentation

Please arrive at your session meeting room at least 5 minutes before the start of your session. At the lectern there will be a monitor in front of you where you can follow your presentation. Simply click your name on the display, and your PowerPoint presentation will launch automatically. At the end of your presentation, the display will return to the list of presenters. Speak directly into the microphone in a normal voice and do not handle the microphone while speaking. If you have any difficulties or need any assistance, just click the HELP button and a technician will be sent to your room immediately.

By following the guidelines above, we're confident that Freeman Presentation Management will make your experience as easy as possible. Should you have any questions that are not addressed in this document, please feel free to email support.

Mac Users

Keynote

If you would like to upload your presentation please convert your Keynote to PowerPoint. Keynote 09 files with the .key extension can be directly uploaded to the website. However, this is a windows based system and there is currently no way to play a Keynote file on a pc. It is best that you either convert your Keynote to PowerPoint or contact support to find out how Keynote files will be handled for this particular event.

Pictures

If you use a version of PowerPoint prior to 2008, please be sure any embedded pictures are not in TIFF format. These images will not show up in Windows PowerPoint. With PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac, any inserted image will be compatible.

Movies

Please export MOV files to Windows Media WMV with Quicktime 7 Pro. PowerPoint on Windows machines will not handle MOV files. If you cannot convert the files, or if you have a considerable number of MOV files, please check with a technician in the Speaker Ready Room to make arrangements to convert the videos.
